SIOUX FALLS—The Luke Society is delighted to announce a new staff member has joined our team in Sioux Falls.

Kasondra Kiel is the new administrative assistant in the central office. She began in mid-September, replacing Deb Den Herder who retired after nine faithful years of ministry service.

The office setting is nothing new to Kasondra. She worked as an administrative assistant at an accounting firm for seven years. She also has classroom experience as an assistant teacher for preschool and kindergarten, as well as having taught Kindermusic. Most recently she has filled a different calling as a stay-at-home mom.

“I am so excited to be a part of the Luke Society team and join so many already serving God's Kingdom all over the world,” Kasondra said. “I look forward to getting to know all of our ministry teams and hear stories on how God is using them right where they are. I can see from those I have met already, that they have such a desire to pray, encourage and support each other. I look forward to being a part of such an amazing family.”

Kasondra’s role at the Luke Society includes a variety of tasks from secretarial duties to financial recording. She will be the first face people see when they walk into the office in Sioux Falls. Kasondra also helps to coordinate volunteers, mailings and works with the Luke Society’s prayer ministry.

In her free time she enjoys singing on her church’s worship team, going for walks, baking and shopping.

Kasondra lives in Sioux Falls and is married to Jeff. They have three children: Huntley, 9, Brynlee, 6, and Jetzen, 18 mo.

As a family, they enjoy camping, biking, fishing, going to the lakes and watching movies.

One Bible verse that has been special to the Kiel family is Colossians 3:12-14. “So, chosen by God for this new life of love, dress in the wardrobe God picked out for you: compassion, kindness, humility, quiet strength, discipline. Be even-tempered, content with second place, quick to forgive an offense. Forgive as quickly and completely as the Master forgave you. And regardless of what else you put on, wear love. It’s your basic, all-purpose garment. Never be without it.” (The Message).

If you’d like to reach Kasondra and wish her well in her new role, she may be reached at kasondra@lukesociety.org.
