Dr. Brent Van Andel became the fourth executive director in the Luke Society's history in August 2021, replacing Dr. Wrede Vogel. Van Andel is a native of New Mexico where he served as a family practice physican from 2004-21. He obtained his medical degree from the University of New Mexico. Brent and his wife, Cindy, have strong ties to the Luke Society, having served on Partnership Ministry Teams in both Yucuiba, Bolivia and N'Dali, Benin. Cindy also spent 10 years on the Luke Society's Board of Directors. As executive director, his position involves general oversight and direction of all areas of the Luke Society. In his free time he enjoys running, hiking, skiing and reading.

Nathan Stob came to the Luke Society in September 2015 and serves as the Chief Administrative Officer. He started his career in education, teaching fourth-grade students in California. For the nine years prior to coming to the Luke Society, he was the director of ATLAS Orange City Area, a nonprofit Christian mentoring agency for individuals battling personal and relational difficulties. Some of his roles at the Luke Society include communicating directly with Partnership Ministry Teams and international ministry directors, and general administrative oversight of the building operations and insurance. Dr. Greg Kuiper joined the Luke Society staff as Chief Operating Officer in 2008, but was involved in the ministry long before that. He served as a physician with Dr. Wrede Vogel at the Luke Society clinic in Dermott, Ark. He also has previously served on the Luke Society board of directors and on a Partnership Ministry Team to the Philippines. His position involves supporting and encouraging existing ministries while evaluating the possibility of new ministry partners who might fit with the Luke Society philosophy and mission. Prior to joining the Luke Society, Dr. Kuiper was a family practice physician in Luverne, Minn., where he still lives with his wife, Marg. They have three children and four grandchilden.

Dan Breen joined the Luke Society as Communications Director in January 2015. Dan’s background is in journalism where he spent nine years as a reporter for a regional newspaper. His duties at the Luke Society include outward communications such as producing the Luke Society News magazine and managing the Luke Society’s website and social media presence. He also oversees the production of photos, videos, advertisements and other written communications. Dan and his wife, Kristin, live in Sioux Falls, S.D., with their three children, Faith, Abigail and Isaac.

Kristin Breen, C.P.A., joined the Luke Society team in August 2017 as the primary accountant and bookkeeper. Prior to her time at the Luke Society, she spent 12 years as a manager with a regional accounting firm in northwest Iowa where she specialized in auditing and other financial accounting roles. Her position at the Luke Society involves bookkeeping, payroll administration and ensuring the financial accountability of the organization. Kristin lives in Sioux Falls and is married to Dan, Luke Society communications director. They have three children.

Kasondra Kiel joined the Luke Society as Administrative Assistant in September 2022. She has previously worked in jobs with administrative duties and has most recently been home with her children. Her role at the Luke Society includes secretarial tasks and financial recording. She also helps to coordinate volunteers, mailings and works with the organization’s prayer ministry. Kasondra and her husband, Jeff, live in Sioux Falls and they are the parents to Huntley, Brynlee and Jetzen.
