BHUBANESWAR, INDIA—Ministry directors from Europe and Asia were encouraged to “Carry it on to Completion” at the Luke Society Eurasia Regional Conference, Jan. 9-12, in Bhubaneswar, India.

Nearly three dozen directors, spouses and team members, along with several members of the central office staff and board of directors participated in the conference.

Dr. Vinod Shah, a pediatric surgeon from India, was the keynote speaker for the conference, which focused on completing the call in missions. Each day featured a time of worship, prayer and ministry updates from the 12 ministries represented. A special time of holy communion was held during the last session. A day of sightseeing and a trip to the city of Puri on the Bay of Bengal wrapped up the event.

Many people still ask about the international conferences the Luke Society used to host in the United States. As the Luke Society expanded, it made the concept of international travel much more complex and cost prohibitive. Instead, the international conferences were replaced by a regional conference model. Conferences are held in each of the three Luke Society regions about once every six years. Latin America held its last conference in Guatemala in 2022, while the last African regional conference met in Senegal in 2019.

Give thanks for the safety in travel and for the blessing it was to once again be together with our friends. Pray for these directors! Challenges abound and many face persecutions for their faith. May the Lord give them the strength to carry their callings to completion.
