Mission Saint Luc

Dr. Bourama Sidibe grew up about as distant as one could be from a career as a Christian medical doctor. But as everyone knows, God works miracles.

Born in a Muslim family in rural Mali, Sidibe’s life changed when he received his first Bible from a Catholic priest as a teenager. The Lord worked on his heart, and he became a medical doctor with a special calling to help heal lives physical and spiritually.

Mission Saint Luc formed a partnership with the Luke Society in 2015. Sidibe operates a full-service clinic in Banankoro, but also makes visits to numerous villages to bring health and a greater understanding of Jesus to places who have never received the Gospel.

“God is Love, and He has shown us his love by giving us his one and only Son to save and bring us into His kingdom, and he wants us to love each other,” Sidibe said.

He lives out that mission to love through not only his medical services, but by planting churches, starting discovery Bible studies and providing spiritual guidance to people in the hospitals, prisons and the universities.
