Dr. Marwel Garcia lives by a philosophy that good health care should be available for everyone ― not just for the affluent who can afford it.
He has made it a goal to bring quality health care to 100-percent of the population in need.
“Our mission is for people in health care to be touched in the name of Jesus, and for Jehová Rafa's ministry to be a seed in many hearts for the Kingdom,” Marwel said.
Marwel began medical services in Rubén Dario in 2017 ― four years before a partnership with the Luke Society was formed. His mother owned land in the community and gifted it to her son with the condition that he use the land to help people.
The clinic offers consultations, laboratory tests, dental services and has a small pharmacy.
In addition to in-clinic consultations, a significant part of the ministry involves going outside the clinic in Rubén Dario to other area neighborhoods, attending to patients who are not mobile enough to get to the clinic.
