Ministry profile

Shalom Health Center serves as a beacon of light in the Cordoba, Argentina, barrio of Las Violetas. It’s there Dr. Ines Loker is empowering and equipping women and children with health and community education tools to combat a crime-riddled culture.

Loker’s ministry in Las Violetas started out on a grassroots level in 2005, going door to door to strategically evaluate the demographics of the neighborhood and identify potential risks.

Loker works together with a team of volunteer women. Some of the volunteers are those women she helped mentor in her first years. The team has a special heart for the community which suffers from poverty, drugs, violence and abuse. Volunteers have regular informative meetings at the health center and go out into homes to pass along the important health information. The ministry also puts on children’s programs, story hours and health fairs.

The program is bearing fruit and not only among women. A number of men also have experienced the Holy Spirit’s calling to be more godly leaders in their own families and communities because of the impact of the ministry.
