The Luke Society is excited to share some details about a special weekend planned next month.

For the first time since 2015, all the Luke Society regional coordinators will be in Sioux Falls, S.D., as we share in a week of business, celebration and memory-making.

Last year, Dr. Apolos Landa retired from his role as South America Regional Coordinator, but did so somewhat quietly. A portion of the event is a final retirement send-off for Apolos, whose 30 years of service in the Luke Society included work as both a ministry director in Moyobamba, Peru, and a regional coordinator for parts of South and Central America.

Apolos became a Luke Society ministry partner in 1988. He served as a regional coordinator from 1996-2018.

From 6:30-8:30 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 14, the public is invited to the Luke Society central office in Sioux Falls for an open house. It’s not only a chance to wish Apolos well in his retirement, but also an opportunity to meet other regional coordinators and their spouses, along with the Luke Society staff and some board members. The event is come and go as you please.

The Luke Society’s office is at 3409 S. Gateway Blvd.

Light refreshments will be served.

The regional coordinators will also be present for meetings and other special events throughout the week. Several of them plan to speak in area churches and schools during the week.

We invite you to consider joining us in this celebration. No RSVP is needed.
