For the second straight year, the Luke Society News has been honored as the top newsletter among Evangelical Press Association publications.

The awards were announced Tuesday, April 21, during a live video presentation with EPA members. Typically, the annual awards are handed out at the organization's annual convention, but due to the COVID-19 crisis, this year's event in Colorado Springs, CO, was cancelled.

The Luke Society News received the EPA's Award of Excellence in the Print Newsletter category, which measures it against other newsletter publications within the EPA. It's the highest award for newsletters.

The judges said: "A great range of information that seeks to inform and engage on important topics, people. A devotion to important news, people, events that draws the reader in with faces and stories."

The EPA is made up of nearly 200 member organizations. More than 1,000 entries were submitted in this year's Higher Goals and Awards of Excellence contests which recognizes journalists' efforts in writing, design and photography, among nearly 80 categories.

The Luke Society News is published three times per year and is mailed to a donor base of about 8,500. In addition, nearly 15,000 copies are mailed to supporting churches. The Luke Society News is committed to telling the stories of how ministries are using their supporters' gifts to further the Kingdom of Christ around the world.
