In February, Luke Society Communications Director Dan Breen joined International Ministry Coordinator Nathan Stob for a visit to nurse Denise Maxwell and the New Community Clinic in Monrovia, Liberia.
Denise as been a Luke Society partner with the Luke Society for 15 years. Her ministry work out of a two-story building and adjoining one-story building in the Monrovia suburb of New Community. She has a vibrant staff of 34 workers in the full-service clinic. In addition to caring for common illnesses such as malaria, hypertension and hepatitis, they offer birthing services.
