DAHRA, SENEGAL—The Luke Society family will join together next week for the African Regional Conference.

The conference is March 24-29 in Dahra, Senegal. Thirty-three staff members, PMT members, directors and spouses are attending the event.

This is the third African Regional Conference. The first regional conference was held in 2008 in Ghana. The 2013 conference was in Ethiopia.

The theme verse for the 2019 African Regional Conference was chosen from John 15:16: “You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you so that you might go and bear fruit — fruit that will last — and so that whatever you ask in my name, the Father will give you.”

In addition to reports and ministry updates, the conference will feature a tour of the villages where Dr. Ousmane Soh works. Dr. Soh recently constructed a new clinic in Dahra. The group will also spend some time together in the capital of Dakar to end the conference.

The Luke Society has 14 ministry partners in Africa. The oldest ministry partner is Kasei, Ghana, which opened in 1988. They newest ministry candidate in Mali began last year.

More recently, regional conferences have replaced the international conferences which were held in the United States.

Be in prayer for the African Regional Conference. Pray that the Spirit of power, protection and encouragement would be among the group during these special days of gatherings and encouraging each other in the mission of Christ’s kingdom.
