Transcarpathia, Ukraine

Ministry profile

Quality health-care centers are at a premium in Ukraine – especially those which treat patients with the loving care offered at the Luke Society Transcarpathia.

Dr. Pal Oroszi serves as director of the clinic in Munkacs which opened in 1997 and underwent a major clinic renovation in 2000.

Luke Society Transcarpathia is anything but a typical health-care facility in Ukraine. Many of the government facilities lack the medical knowledge, equipment and sanitary conditions offered though the Luke Society clinic.

The lack of affordability of government clinics and their distant proximities become a deterrent for many. Ukraine has no health-care insurance coverage so patients must pay the full cost out of pocket. The Luke Society Transcarpathia is committed to keeping costs affordable.

Modern health-care equipment such as mammograms, X-rays and CT scans are available at the clinic, which reaches past the physical needs of patients to offer comfort and spiritual healing as well.

Dr. Pal Oroszi

Director profile

Dr. Pal Oroszi is a humble and dedicated leader who approaches his role as director with vision and tenacity. Against nearly insurmountable obstacles, he has been integral in developing a distinctly Christian, multi-specialty medical center in the Transcarpathia region. Besides Oroszi’s responsibilities in the clinic, the Luke Society leans on his wealth of knowledge in his role as the regional coordinator in eastern Europe.
