Prayer Ministry

Global Allies in Prayer

One of the most active ways you can assist the Luke Society ministry is by participating in our Global Allies in Prayer team.

Formed in 1997, GAP has played an important role in our efforts to bring specific concerns, petitions and thanksgivings to the throne of the Lord in prayer.

Many of our directors and ministries face significant dangers, risks and persecutions while using the backdrop of physical health to minister to individual’s spiritual health.

The Luke Society compiles prayer notes from our ministries and their directors and distributes them through mail and e-mail to more than 700 GAP members to lift up in prayer.

If you are willing to become a prayer warrior on our behalf, contact Deb Den Herder at deb@lukesociety.org or 1-605-373-9686.

Their cares and concerns inspired and challenged me to pray for them, and the GAP monthly praise and prayer letter gives me the current prayer needs. I picture Rev 5:8 — my prayers included in that offering to God Almighty. As I am praying each month, I also get to know the hearts of these Luke Society men and women saints who are serving Christ worldwide. Psalm 16:3, "As for the saints who are in the land, they are the glorious ones in whom is my delight.

The most important thing that one person can do for another is to pray.  It is not the only thing we can do or must do, but it is still the most important thing. When I learned how valuable and responsible the Luke Society is, I had no choice. This group needs prayer, and that I can give.
